The venue will host next year's titles - held between January 3-5 - which is expected to attract some 250 players from around the state.
It will be the 58th staging of the championships and the first held in the Central Highlands region for more than 35 years.
The event will cap a big few weeks for tennis in the region, with the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre to host the Ballarat Open Gold AMT Tournament between December 19-22.
The tournament has already attracted reigning Wimbledon women's doubles champion Su-wei Hsieh.
Meanwhile, we are just days away from the Melbourne Renegades' community camp in Ballarat.
The build-up continues ahead of the three-day Wipe Off 5 Ballarat Bush Bash, which is headlined by two Twenty20 fixtures between the Renegades and a squad from the Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy on Sunday.
Also today, Australian cricketing greats Allan Border and Dean Jones will visit Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat in Hepburn.
The pair are travelling through the region to raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis.
