The East Ballarat export padded up to face a small group of Ballarat bowlers - mostly Golden Point -who used the late morning session as part of their own warm-up.
Training was specifically targeted at the Twenty20 game and fielding set-ups.
English recruit Jos Buttler was also about Eastern Oval working with the Renegades coaching staff in the relaxed session.
Renegades coaches also spent time with the Golden Point squad, before the Pointies firsts clash with Darley got underway.

The bulk of the Renegades squad will arrive in Ballarat on Saturday night, some from Victorian Premier Cricket Twenty20 action, for the club's Wipe Off 5 Ballarat Bush Bash camp.
Players will hit the nets on the ground early Sunday morning before two Twenty20 practice matches against the Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy.
The Renegades have signalled there will be no holding back in the matches that will feature Sri Lankan star spinner Muthian Muralidaran and aggressive Australian batsman Aaron Finch.
Camp started yesterday with players involved in school clinics and community visits.
