POLICE have now spent almost 24 hours searching for missing man Frank Moloney, with little trace of the 80-year-old.

Mr Moloney, who suffers dementia, was last sighted around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon, near his Walker Street home.Police started the search by saturating the Ballarat North area near his home, before expanding his search across the city.
Mr Moloney lives with his family on Walker Street.Ballarat North Police Station Acting Senior Sergeant Nathan Gardiner said police were still hopfeul Mr Moloney would be found in the near future.
"We're throwing everything we can into the search at the moment," he said.
"We're hoping people can keep an eye out and report anything to police."
Police have concerns for Mr Moloney's welfare due to his age.
He is described as 175cm tall, medium build with brown hair and wearing glasses.
Mr Moloney was last seen wearing a grey long sleeved top, brown shoes and black tracksuit pants.
