The Magpies are planning to broadcast their Central Highlands Football League matches live on a big screen at the ground.
Clunes president John Bedwell said the four-metre by three-metre screen was an exciting addition to the club’s facilities.
“This has been a project the whole club has got behind,” Bedwell said.
“I hope people enjoy coming to Clunes as a result of seeing something new and different.”
The club has purchased a new video camera to allow it to broadcast the football or netball live at the ground, with the capacity for scores, sponsors’ ads and other footage to be displayed during breaks in play.
Bedwell said the screen and accompanying infrastructure and operating equipment had cost about $40,000 – financed through major sponsor Bendigo Bank – which it hoped to recoup by hiring it out to other groups.
