Comprised of Josh Hawkes, Jake Bridges and Chris Matthews, the band plays a wide range of folk, jazz and rock songs, and prides itself on its three-part harmonies.
Guitarist Jake Bridges said the trio was influenced by famous musicians and bands including Johnny Cash, Mumford and Sons and The Beatles.
“We started off doing a lot of gigs at pubs and then started performing at public functions, parties and events,” Bridges said.
“We have a lot of fun with our medlies and mash-ups.”
Next month, No Strings Attached will feature on the line-up of the Ballarat Beer Festival alongside national acts including Wagons, Little Bastard, SteelBirds, Sweet Jean, and The Blue Souls.
Celebrating beers of all flavours for the third consecutive year, the event features premium brews, wines, gourmet food, Australian entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Having previously performed at the inaugural event in last year, the group said the festival allowed them to expand their reach as musicians.
“It’s good just to be able to reach a wide range of people,” Bridges said.
“The festival has a great atmosphere and everyone there just wants to have a nice day and we really feed off that.”
