Police have called for caution in wet conditions following a number of incidents on the regions roads today.

One driver was lucky to escape uninjured after he lost control of his car and did a double spin on the Western Freeway near Pykes Creek Reservoir at 4pm.
Moorabool Highway patrol Leading Senior Constable Brett Ellens said the 46 year old male from Dimboola was driving in the right lane Ballarat bound when he lost control ascending from the reservoir near Ballan.
The late model Holden Commodore mounted the embankment and did several revolutions before coming to rest on the roadside Snr Const Ellens said.
Traffic on the Western Freeway was narrowed to one lane for over an hour.
Other minor incidents were also reported in Ballarat during the rain spell including a crash involving a single car on Doveton Street North in Soldiers Hill at around 4.30pm and another incident soon after in Wendouree.
A female driver was taken to hospital as a precaution after she lost control of her vehicle on the Ring Road.
First Constable Glen Jones said the woman was travelling in a northern direction at the time of the accident.
"As she has come around the corner she has lost control, she has started to spin out and veered into the oncoming lane," he said.
Her silver Holden collided with another vehicle which was towing a caravan.
First Constable Jones said they didn't believe the woman was speeding and the accident had occurred on a tight bend.
"It just goes to show you don't have to be speeding to lose control," he said.
"Be very careful and drive to the conditions."
