Clarke dances to wrong tune

Fremantle ruckman Zac Clarke has injured his knee at a music festival in Victoria and will miss the start of the Dockers 2014 AFL season.

The 23 year old is expected to miss eight weeks of training after injuring his posterior cruciate ligament on Tuesday at The Falls Music and Arts Festival.

It's a massive blow for Clarke, who missed the first seven rounds of 2013 due to a calf injury, right on the eve of the season.

Clarke was rushed back into the Dockers side in round 8 with little preparation due to a raft of injuries hitting the club's ruck stocks.

He became an integral member of the side that lost to Hawthorn by 15 points in the Grand Final, teaming up with Aaron Sandilands.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said, "At this stage Zac is not expected to require surgery and will undergo a normal rehabilitation program for the injury."

Midway through the season, Clarke signed a contract extention to keep him to the club until at least the end of 2015.
