A partly cloudy day is forecast for Ballarat today, with an expected top of 22 degrees.
And Ballarat should see some rain this weekend. A top of 18 is forecast for Saturday, while Sunday should reach a top of 20 degrees.
Rain will continue into the next week.
POLICE
Ballarat Police experienced a quiet night overnight.
But yesterday morning Ballarat's Crime Investigation Unit called for more information following a burglary in Beaufort.
It's believed offenders smashed their way into a Western Highway roadhouse sometime before 3-3.30am.
Once inside the offenders removed a safe containing an amount of money and thousands of dollars of cigarettes, as well as accessories such as sunglasses and phone charges from nearby display stands.
It is believed the offenders fled in a vehicle.
Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage.

FIRE
Ballarat City Fire experienced a quiet night overnight.
Around 4pm crews were called to a car leaking fuel in Sebastopol. Shortly afterward the crews attended a gas leak in Newington around 5pm.
SES
Local SES crews were called out to remove a fallen gum tree from Ballan-Daylesford Rd, near Ballan around 10pm last night. The tree was removed a short time later and did not cause a major traffic hazard.
AMBULANCE
Ambulance Victoria crews were called to an assault at Old Broomfield Rd, Broomfield around 9.10pm last night.
A man in his 40s had lacerations to his head. He was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
