The dip has been removed as part of the racetrack's $1.5 million resurfacing.
While the laying of new turf has been put on hold this week by contractor Evergreen Turf owing to the heatwave being experienced by Ballarat, the project remains on target for a resumption of racing on Sunday, May 11.
Turf has already been laid in the 1200m chute to the home turn and in part of the inner track.
BTC sales and marketing manager Ryan Stanaway said the sections of the track with the new surface were a picture.
He said the chute up to the course proper had already been cut and the next section was taking well.
Stanaway said the new turf should all be in place by the end of the month.
