Burke, 10, will toss the coin for a women’s round of 16 match at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday.
She has also been selected by Tennis Australia to take part in an on-court demonstration as part of the Victorian Super 10s program.
The talented junior has won a series of titles over the summer.
She was also part of the Central Highlands team that finished third in the Victorian Country inter-regional championships at Creswick.
She also had success in the Western Melbourne and Warrnambool grasscourt junior titles and Victorian Junior Grasscourt Championships.
Burke began playing tennis at nine years of age and is coached by Peter Joyce at the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre.
She has an unbeaten record over two seasons with the super 10s, and if the draw plays out the right way, she could potentially be tossing the coin for Li Na or Maria Sharapova during the third match scheduled for Rod Laver Arena.
