BALLARAT’S best junior swimmers will contest the Victorian Country Swimming Championships in their final meet for the summer season before qualifying for April’s national titles gets under way.

The Vic Country championships will run in Albury-Wodonga at the Waves Aqua Aquatic Centre between January 24 and 26.
More than 600 Victorian children will participate across the 95 events.
The event will take place after the Victorian Open State Swimming Championships, which will run in Melbourne this weekend.
The open state championships is one of the biggest events outside the national championships.
Among the 16 Ballarat swimmers competing will be Olympians Alicia Coutts and James Magnussen, along with numerous international and interstate swimmers.
