Still under close observation at the Wendouree clinic of the Ballarat Veterinary Practice, Tilly has made a surprisingly fast recovery and has even started eating with assistance.
The two dogs believed to have attacked four-year-old Tilly are still being held at the council pound while an investigation is conducted.
A City of Ballarat spokesmen yesterday confirmed the dogs were Staffordshire Terrier cross-breeds. The council was yet to decide what would happen to the dogs.
Tilly was being walked along Gregory Street when she was attacked. It was later revealed a three-year-old girl had unlocked the gate and let the dogs out.
