Victoria won its opening round clash with New South Wales yesterday and take on Western Australia at Napoleons today.
Other matches pit New South Wales against South Australia (Eastern Oval), Queensland against Tasmania (Wendouree) and ACT against Auckland Schoolgirls (Northern Oval).
Also today, Central Highlands' under-18 boys play for a spot in the state final.
The Highlanders take on Inner South East Scorpions at Carlton, with the winner progressing to the decider at the MCG.
Central Highlands under-14 and under-16 girls also continue their respective state carnivals today.
Meanwhile, Ballarat and District Trotting Club tonight hosts its final meeting before the much-anticipated Cup program.
The seven-race card begins at 7pm, with the last scheduled for 10pm.
The Ballarat Pacing Cup is then on the agenda for Saturday, January 25.
