Police have identified the woman struck and killed by a truck on the Western Freeway last night as a 23-year-old from Sebastopol.
Police have notified next of kin and will continue to investigate the cause of death.
A Victoras Police Media spokesperson said the fatality would be added to the road toll.

Ballarat Highway Patrol continue to investigate the death of a woman on the Western Freeway in Gordon last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene, about two kilometres east of Gordon, around 9.50pm, following reports that a woman had been hit by a truck.
The woman is yet to be identified.
The Western Freeway between Old Melbourne Road and Ballan-Daylesford Road was closed westbound from 10.25pm.
The provisional road toll for 2014 stands at 13, compared to six deaths this time last year.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a woman in the vicinity of the Western Freeway near Gordon prior to the collision to call police.
