Does it get any better than that?
Brown Hill Community Pool drew a large crowd earlier today with hundreds arriving for a quick dip and a free snag.
Brown Hill Progress Association treasurer Ron Damen said new poolside seating had also allowed for a more family like atmosphere.
"We had games for the kids, biggest bomb, funniest hat and face painting from the Sebastopol Girl Guides," he said
"We have had good number so far, we do it every year."
Today's stunning weather ensured a cool pool was the best place to spend Australia Day according to BHPA secretary Brendon Stevens who said this was the eighth year the group had held an Australia Day event at the pool.
"We really want to cater for families, it is a family friendly environment," he said.
"We rely upon community support, council fund us but the community support us."
The pool is open every day during summer with Mr Damen.
