The Ballarat cyclist will take on his former team Avanti Racing in the five-stage event at Palmerston North on the North Island, which begins with a 6.1km individual time trial tomorrow.
Shaw will team up with Kane Walker, Theo Yates, Michael Fitzgerald and Alex McGregor.
Shaw gave Ballarat its first look at his new colours on the streets of the city in the Cycling Australia Road National Championships earlier this month.
He took out the sprint jersey in the circuit event and then was one of just 41 riders to finish the national road race at Buninyong.
