A meet-and-greet will be held Thursday between 3pm and 4pm at the Ballarat Post Shop on Armstrong Street South and will give people the opportunity to mix with North Melbourne stars Majak Daw, Jack Ziebell and Andrew Swallow.
Part of the day will involve residents donating their secondhand footy boots and other AFL equipment to Boots for All, a charity that distributes equipment to disadvantage teams and communities throughout Australia.
“It is great to be able to give something back to the community and spend time in regional areas where we have supporters who may not be able to make it to a game during the year,” Daw said.
The charity has passed on more than 12,500 pairs of boots and other equipment since launching in 2006.
