Four of the Lions’ stars have lodged clearances away from Clarke Oval to the Essendon District Football League.
Former captain Jay Cheep, power forward Simon Clarke and key onballers Ross Sleight and Jamie Lobb are all hoping to play for the Essendon Doutta Stars in 2014.
All are 2012 premiership players with the Lions.
The quartet was among the early big names to feature when clearances officially opened on Saturday.
Among others to lodge transfers is Redan triple-premiership player Nathan Blomeley, who is returning to the Lions after a couple of seasons with Newlyn, and Redan captain Matt Hyden, who has requested a move to the Nepean competition for next season.
