Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt will head to Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts on July 23 as part of an extensive 32-stop tour.
The decision for the show to be staged in Ballarat came as a result of an online poll where fans voted for where the show should go.
“We noticed the many requests from our Peppa Pig fans on social media and we built a portal for fans to vote on where the show should go next,” Life Like Touring producer Anton Berezin said.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the results and pleased to announce the next phase of the tour. We can’t wait to share this wonderful show with many more Australian families.”
Originally from London’s West End, Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt has been seen by almost 85,000 Australians since it launched in October 2013.
The stage show sees Peppa and her friends Danny Dog, Polly Parrot, and Zoe Zebra set off on a treasure hunt.
The production features true-to-life puppets and some of Australia’s most talented musical theatre performers.
Launched on the ABC in 2004, Peppa Pig is now the most popular children’s show on Australian TV, screening four times a day and out-rating all other kids shows in its time slot.
Peppa Pig is also the number one rated children’s show downloaded on ABC iView, earning two million views per month.
Tickets for Peppa Pig Live! will go on sale from Tuesday, February 11. For more information, visit lifeliketouring.com/peppapiglive
