The speedy forward/winger has lodged a clearance away from the Central Highlands Football League, where he has played with the Eagles since 2011.
Werner, originally from Narre Warren, was an exciting addition for Gordon and starred in the club’s breakthrough finals campaign in his first year.
After a knee injury curtailed most of his 2012 season, Werner was one of the Eagles’ key players last year, playing all 17 matches and kicking 24 goals.
Meanwhile, Bungaree has landed the services of talented forward Ashley McDonald.
McDonald is a Queenscliff premiership player, who showed interest in joining the Demons last year before making the move during the pre-season.
He booted 36 goals in the Coutas’ flag triumph in 2012 and is expected to fill a role on the forward flank or on the wing for the Demons.
