Decisive bowls round for finals sides with end of home and away season

WITH this round marking the end of the home and away season, the weekend match committee will meet early next week to determine venues for the first week of finals.

The final four of most divisions are still not settled and round 18 will prove to be extremely decisive in the make-up of the

semi-finals.

Sides as low as seventh could qualify if Saturday’s matches are resolved in their favour.

The top four of premier division would appear to be settled, but Learmonth and BMS will be fighting it out for fourth position in division one, while ladders for divisions two, three, four, five, six, seven and nine are yet to be

decided.

Close matches were few and far between in round 17, with Daylesford’s division eight side winning by five and Bareena’s premier division team winning by three in the two tightest results.

The big winners were Avenue’s premier division and division five sides by 59, Central Wendouree in division one by 60 and BMS in division eight by 61, but the top dog was Learmonth’s division four side, which won by

128.
