Ballarat breakfast report: March 10

WEATHER

Today we can expect a top of 30 degrees, however, it isn't all good news with a  potential thunderstorm forecast for the afternoon.

The rain that will come through in the evening will stick around  tomorrow, however, the warmer temperatures will also remain in the area with a top of 32 degrees forecast.

POLICE

Nothing of interest to report from overnight.

However one man was helping police with inquires last night after a vandal damaged 56 cars in an attack on a Ballarat car dealership.

The offender used a screwdriver to scratch most of the cars on the outdoor yard at Eclipse Ford in Sebastopol.

While most of the damage was superficial, the bill could stretch into the tens of thousands.

FIRE

It was a quiet night from fire crews with nothing of interest to report.

AMBULANCE

Nothing of interest to report from our paramedics.

TRAINS

Works on the Regional Rail Link project mean that all Ballarat services are reverting to coaches today . Check out the V/Line website for more information.
