Peter Stevens Motorworld is providing support vehicles for the Male Bag Ride around Tasmania.
What makes the ride slightly different is that it will be completed on Honda 110cc ex-postie bikes.
Patron of the event and AFL great David Parkin said the ride would go for one week.
Mr Parkin said his father and grandfather had died as a result of prostate cancer and it was only because of regular check-ups that he discovered he had the disease as well.
“My suggestion to men is if they want to live and they care about themselves and care about the people who care about them, then go and do the annual check-up,” he said.
“I hope we raise awareness for it and get into men’s heads that they need to do something about it.”
Mr Parkin’s cancer is now in full remission.
