HAYLEY Tucker, Matthew Norman and Daniel Cavanagh are new Victorian country swimming champions.
The three Midlands Amateur District Association competitors picked up gold in the short course titles at Wangaratta at the weekend.
Tucker, Norman and Cavanagh all swim with the Ballarat Gold club.
Tucker triumphed in the girls’ 14-15 years 100 metres breaststroke.
Swimming in the men’s 18 and over category, Norman took out the 100m backstroke and Cavanagh the 100m butterfly at the two-day meet.
Norman also collected one silver and two bronze medals, and Cavanagh a silver.
The Midlands had six swimmers finish in the medals.
In all, 20 of the 39 association competitors has top 10 finishes.
