Midlands and Ballarat golf clubs will join forces to host respective pro-am events tomorrow and Sunday respectively, with an overall winner to be awarded the inaugural trophy.
Both events boast $10,000 in total prize money, with more than 60 professionals to take on Ballarat and just shy of 50 registered for Midlands.
For Ballarat, it will be the first time the club has hosted a pro-am on its new course since it was redesigned, while Midlands held its first pro-am after a seven-year hiatus last year.
Tomorrow, players will take to Midlands, with professionals playing a stroke format and amateurs playing Stabelford.
They will then tee up again on Sunday to take at Ballarat to determine the aggregate winner across the two days.
Among the big names are 2013 Victorian Order of Merit winner and perennial pro-am tour favourite Euan Walters.
Walters will be up against some stiff competition however, with five of the top six golfers from last year’s Victorian Order of Merit to compete for the titles.
Also entered are Bradley Lamb, Ryan Haywood, Leighton Lyle and Kristopher Mueck.
