Ballarat breakfast report: March 21

Make sure you take an umbrella when you walk out the door this morning.

We are almost a certainty for rain later this afternoon with temperatures only expected to reach 20 degrees throughout the day.

The weekend isn't looking so great either, with more rain and chilly weather predicted.

Nothing of interest to report from Ballarat Police over night.

Elsewhere in the state, a man has been charged with multiple driving offences in Stawell after a short pursuit yesterday.

The 33-year-old man allegedly accelerated up to 90km/h  in 50 km/h when police attempted to intercept his vehicle.

The driver has been charged with numerous traffic offences including conduct endangering life, evade police and manner dangerous driving whilst suspended.

He has been bailed to appear at the Stawell Magistrates’ Court on 27 April.

A quiet night for Ballarat fire crews with nothing of interest to report.

Nothing to report from paramedics overnight.

No issues for commuters so far with V/Line's website reporting good service on the Ballarat train line.

Today we will get to have a chat to Fr Bob Maguire who is coming to town to inspect  the Young Parents Program with the aim of making it a nationwide pilot program.
