The group’s Last Sunday of the Month concert is expected to draw a large crowd with multi-instrumentalist Geoffrey D’Ombrain performing.
One of the organisers of the event Alison Robertson said the program was called “Songs for the Year of the Horse” with all of the performances surrounding a horse theme.
“We really love working with him and he always gives us really hard stuff,” she said.
“We are all orchestral players but his music is really difficult for us so that is very exciting for us.”
Mr D’Ombrain plays a variety of instruments and will also be singing on the day.
The event is normally held in February, however, was pushed back to March this year.
Ms Robertson said it was important people got to the event early as she expected a large crowd.
“We are generally really full, people actually walking through the gallery can still hear it,” she said.
A special sculpture will also be unveiled on the day.
The event is held at the Art Gallery of Ballarat on March 30 at 2.30pm.
