It looks like today will be a better day than yesterday with a top of 24 degrees predicted.
However, we are not totally free from the rain with a chance of showers later this afternoon.
The all important weekend looks like producing more of the same. Rain is a chance for Saturday with a top of 25 degrees, with Sunday producing a high of 26 degrees.
POLICE
It was a quiet night for Ballarat Police with nothing of interest to report.
However, police are at the scene of a serious accident just north of Colac this morning.
The accident is believed to have happened on the Colac-Ballarat road near Ondit.
It is believed a truck has collided with a cyclist.
AMBULANCE
Nothing to report from local paramedics overnight.
FIRE
It was a busy night for fire crews but all of their call-outs were to false alarms.
Crews attended four false alarms throughout the night.
SES
Stawell and Ararat crews were called to the aid of a injured bushwalker near Halls Gap late yesterday.
Around 17 SES members were needed to assist the bushwalker who had hurt his ankle.
TRAINS
V/Line's website is reporting good service for the Ballarat line. However, it appears the 5.08 service from Bacchus Marsh was completely cancelled earlier this morning.
ON THE AGENDA
Today we will be attending Ballarat Secondary College's East campus who are hosting Pink Stumps Day to raise awareness of breast cancer and the McGrath Foundation.
