Ballarat has been graced with blue skies and a mild temperature in the low 20s after thick morning fog finally lifted around 9am.
The temperature is predicted to reach a top of 25 degrees today with a small chance of showers this afternoon.
The next few days will bring brilliant sunshine and warm maximum temperatures of up to 27 degrees.
POLICE
Ballarat police reported a very quiet night in town.
However, police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding a huge drug bust in Canadian yesterday.
The Courier reported yesterday that police seized around 100 mature marijuana plants in a major drug bust at a vacant house in Canadian yesterday morning.
It is understood that no arrests have been made yet.
FIRE
Ballarat City Fire Station also reported a very quiet night, with no call outs.
A station officer said while it was a rare occurrence, it was a welcome occurrence.
AMBULANCE
Ambulance crews also had a quiet night.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said there were no major call outs over night.
