This morning firefighters were called to extinguish a car set alight after it was stolen.
Ballarat Fire Brigade senior station officer Scott Gambino said crews were called to the incident around 5.30am in Wendouree West this morning
The fire spread into the Wendouree West Recreation Reserve but was quickly put out by the firefighters.
WEATHER
A strong chance of rain and a top of 22 degrees predicted for Ballarat today.
However, the rain will be minimal and spread out across the day.
More rain will arrive later on the week with up to 40 millimetres predicted for Friday.
POLICE
A quiet night for Ballarat police.
However, Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following an armed hold-up at a milk bar last night.
It is believed a man entered the store, in Corio, armed with a firearm about 7.45pm.
He threatened the attendant and demanded money before jumping the counter taking some cigarettes.
Local police, dog squad and the Airwing patrolled the area searching for the man who was last seen running north across Goldsworthy Road.
