The Vikings will attempt to bounce back from last week's loss to Melton Phoenix when they host Hoppers Crossing in the second round at St Georges Reserve today.
Coach Michael Busija believes his talented forwards can trouble the experienced Hoppers Crossing outfit.
"They'll be seasoned and they'll be experienced but I think we have the element of surprise - we have attacking players who work well in wide areas and have a lot of pace and ability," Busija said.
"We've been positive in terms of the way we've played and we executed 95 per cent of what we wanted to do last week.
"If we play as well we did last week we will win this game but the thought process is all about the time - as a group we just need some time to gel together."
Hoppers Crossing is coming off a 5-2 belting of Altona North and Vikings defenders will be focusing on curbing the influence of Zia Sherzai, who kicked two goals in the opening round.
Busija has named an unchanged line-up for the match, with key player Alex Antonelli still missing with a lingering ankle injury.
