The Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre, buoyed by the success of last year's AMT Gold senior tournament in December, will host the white-class ranking event.
More than 160 entrants, including about 30 from Ballarat, will take to the court in a bid to earn national ranking points.
BRTC manager Rob Benoit said the focus of the tournament was to prime Ballarat's young talent for tournament action.
"It's about encouraging locals and country kids to enter," Benoit said.
"We've still got some good inter-state, Melbourne and country players but it really encourages your tournament players with not a lot of tournament experience to play in this level."
Competition will span from under-12 to under-16 age groups in singles and doubles.
Qualifying rounds will be played from Wednesday to Friday, with finals to commence on Saturday.
