The Blockbuster Reds, featuring just five players from last year’s team, will face off against powerhouse Box Hill United on its home turf at Wembley Park in the second round.
Both sides have advanced past the opening round with a bye and are playing catch-up after the encounter originally scheduled for last week was cancelled.
Team manager Bernie Curtain has set no expectations for her side other than its dedication to the contest.
“I’m just expecting the girls to give a good show of themselves,” Curtain said.
“Box Hill are a very strong, physical side that have proven to be quite successful in the premier league.”
Curtain has named a squad of 15 to travel down to Melbourne, with the five current players joined by five new faces and another five from the Lady Devils’ under-18 and development squads.
The game will mark Holly Williamson’s first foray as Lady Devils captain, with the 21-year-old now into her fourth year with the club after starting her junior soccer at the Forest Rangers.
Tonight’s match will start at 7.30pm.
