A driver who swerved onto the wrong side of the road hit a pedestrian then immediately drove off after telling the injured woman she needed to move her car, police say.

Police have been told the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, was walking along Waterford Rise, Pakenham, when she was hit by a car that had crossed onto the wrong side of the road about 3.40pm on Tuesday.
The driver, a woman in her 40s with dark hair tied back, stopped but then got back in the car and drove off, saying she "had to move her car".
Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Amelia Harris said the Garfield woman suffered a leg injury.
The driver was in a silver Holden Commodore, possibly a 2007 Calais model, and had two children in the car – a girl aged 6 or 7 sitting in the front seat, and a boy in the back seat.
Senior Constable Lisa Atkinson said she hoped the driver would turn herself in.
"Obviously, it will be a lot better for her if she comes forward now and speaks with us," she said.
"With the description we've been given I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone can provide information regarding her identity.”
