Footballers and netballers will add a touch of pink to their attire doing their bit to support the Mother's Day Classic.

The Ballarat Football and Netball League's Mother's Day Round will join forces with the Mother's Day Classic with the game between the Ballarat Swans and Darley on May 10 as a lead into the event.
Under-16 footballers will wear pink socks to mark the occasion, with other players using pink tape to show their support for the round.
One of the organisers of the classic Trecia Bik said she would be at the football fixture raise as much money as she could.
"We will shake tins if they want to make a donation, but we want to get them (the players) down to the Mother's Day Classic," she said.
"They can use it as a football recovery the seniors can head down to the lake and do a lap for recovery."
The classic is held the day after with big crowds expected to run a lap of the lake .
"All the money raised from the Mother's Day Classic goes
straight back into the National Breast Cancer Foundation," Ms Bik said.
"There are about 90 events around Australia and Ballarat is the biggest regional event. We have raised more than $100,000 over the past five years."
