Organiser Erin Cox started the market last year after seeing a need for fashion choices and accessibility for plus-size women.
Ms Cox has held about five markets around Melbourne and thought it was time to have one in regional Victoria.
“There’s a mix of new and pre-loved clothes,” Ms Cox said.
“We give people the opportunity to come and clear out their wardrobe and sell some of their clothes they don’t wear.
“It provides other women the opportunity to find some affordable pieces that may suit them but didn’t suit someone else.”
Ms Cox said she’d always struggled with choices, as a plus-size woman herself, but there were choices out there.
“We also encourage local, independent designers to come,” she said.
Designer brand Hope and Harvest, which recently relocated to Ballarat from Melbourne, will be one of the stallholders at the market.
Owner and designer Harvest Powell said she was really looking forward to meeting the customers that buy her brand.
“It will be one of the first things we’ve done with Ballarat since we’ve moved here,” Ms Powell said.
Ms Cox said she was aiming for 30 stalls and there were still openings for those wishing to take part.
“There will also be craft and jewellery stores, so there still be something for women of all sizes,” she said.
