Australian National Canoe Marathon Championships

When: Today and tomorrow.

Where: Lake Wendouree, Wendouree Parade, Ballarat.

Details: The Australian Canoe Marathon Championships is the pinnacle event for canoeists and kayakers from around Australia and for the first time will include classes for stand up paddlers. The event will be held over 2.4km lap course on Lake Wendouree with each day consisting of two sessions. Free for spectators. For more details, visit: www.canoe.org.au

Easter Egg Hunt

When: Tomorrow, 10am-5.30pm.

Where: Tangled Maze, 2301 Midland Highway, Springmount via Creswick.

Blackwood Easter Carnival Woodchop

When: Today.

Where: Reserve Road, Blackwood.

Details: A great family day out with 40 assorted stalls, animal farm, pony rides, pet competition, jumping castle, face painting, children s races, historic mines display of yesteryear and today, devonshire tea and food stalls. A street parade starts at 11am from the corner of Whalebone Road and Martin Street with float prizes. Twelve wood chopping events including the championship and tree climbing. Adults cost $5, all proceeds to the CFA.
