Happy Easter Sunday, Ballarat!
Ballarat can finally expect a little sunshine today after a cold day yesterday which saw a top of only 13 degrees.
Today we are headed for a predicted top of 17 degrees, with a slight chance of rain this afternoon.
The rest of the week is expected to hover around the 18 degree mark.
POLICE:
Ballarat police reported a quiet night in town.
However, although not in our district, police last night rescued two men who had been stranded on a ledge at Mt Sturgeon, near Dunkeld, for more than seven hours.
The men are believed to have veered off a walking track when climbing the mountain yesterday afternoon.
The men managed to get to a ledge where they used a mobile phone to contact triple zero.
Emergency services spent hours trying to free the men after a rescue helicopter couldn't use its winch due to the location.
AMBULANCE:
Nothing to report.
FIRE:
Fire fighters also had a quiet night.
Ballarat crews attended a house fire in Melton.
There were no call outs in Ballarat.
