A windy start to the day this morning with scattered showers expected as the day goes on and a top of 19 degrees predicted.
At this stage we won't be seeing too much sun this week with temperatures expected to stay below 20 degrees for the entire week.
However, rain won't come with the cooler weather with some expected today and tomorrow but a relatively dry rest of the week.
POLICE
Ballarat Police experienced a relatively quiet Easter Weekend with nothing of interest to report.
However, a search will resume this morning for a swimmer who went missing at Station Beach near Cape Otway.
The swimmer, a 34-year-old man, entered the surf with a friend yesterday afternoon.
Both swimmers were caught in a rip with one managing to swim to shore while the missing man was swept further off shore.
A search last night failed to find the missing man and was called off at 6.30pm due to failing light.
FIRE
A quiet night for fire crews overnight.
AMBULANCE
Nothing to report from local paramedics.
TRAINS
All train services between Ballarat and Melbourne will revert back to coaches this week as works on the Regional Rail Link Project ramp up.
