ONE man is expected to be charged and police are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a convoy of vehicles was seen driving dangerously on the Western Highway over the weekend.

The cars and motorcycles were travelling east on the highway between Ararat and Beaufort on Saturday about 5.50pm.
Police said four cars and up to six motorcycles were seen overtaking vehicles on the left, crossing over double lines and speeding.
The cars involved were a 2011 blue Skoda station wagon, 2008 black Jeep Wrangler, blue Mini Cooper sedan and green Volkswagen Jetta sedan.
Ballarat Highway Patrol officers intercepted the 26-year-old driver of the Skoda station wagon.
He is expected to be charged with dangerous driving and traffic offences.
