The City of Ballarat’s major projects delivery manager, Jeff Pulford, said a decision on the future of the Grenville Street building would be made based on the outcome of the structural engineer’s report.
The small section of Grenville Street North has been shut since the building, which also housed a yoga studio, went up in flames on February 6.
Following the fire, Ballarat City Fire Brigade senior station officer Shane Phillips said the internals of the building were burnt and would probably have to be rebuilt or reassessed.
Fire investigators deemed the fire non-suspicious.
