Police attended a car accident in Delacombe, but were otherwise quiet, so we've decided to highlight the good work of police in other areas.
In particular, we've found possibly the police quote of the century from members down at Drouin.
After catching a drink driver who told them he did it because he needed some takeaway food, Senior Constable Jerome Bain-King said: “No amount of KFC is worth killing someone over, no matter how good it is."
Spot on, Jerome.
WEATHER
A morning shower or two today folks, with a top temperature of just 14 degrees forecast. So cold and wet - probably not unexpected at this time of year in our fine city. The good news is that these 30km/h winds will die down later on, perfect for that sunny outdoor picnic you've been planning for today. Oh wait...
FIRE
Fire crews had a number of false alarms throughout the night and also attended the accident in Delacombe at around 10.58pm.
It was at the corner of Jordan Avenue and Manna Boulevard and fire crews were required to wash the area down during the clean-up.
