WEATHER

Another cloudy and gloomy day for Ballarat, however, unlike yesterday rain will be minimal.

Be sure to rug up before you leave the house with temperatures only expected to reach 13 degrees.

More of the same is expected for the weekend with rain and even lower temperatures predicted.

POLICE

Nothing to report form local police.

However, emergency services have been alerted to a car rollover near Dean this morning.

The Courier will provide more information on this incident as it comes in.

FIRE

A very busy night for fire crews who were in and out of the station for much of the evening and early morning.

Firefighters attended three false alarms  including a call out to Wendouree where a caller mistook smoke coming from McCain Foods  as a fire.

Ballarat City senior station officer Mal Jones said this happened quite a bit.

Crews also attended a car fire in Miners Rest and a bin fire at Stockland Wendouree in the early hours of the morning.

AMBULANCE

Nothing to report from local paramedics.

TRAINS

Things seem to be running smoothly for train commuters so far this morning with no delays reported on the V/Line website.

ON THE AGENDA

Planning Minister Matthew Guy will be visiting Ballarat this morning for another announcement.
