A chilly start to the day this morning with the colder weather now well and truly here for a while.

A top of 14 degrees today means you should definitely take some warmer clothing with you to work.

However, it is only going to get colder, with temperatures only expected to reach 10 degrees tomorrow with a chance of rain as well.

Police have told The Courier this morning they are still searching for a missing man near Avoca.

Murray McMillan was believed to be camping near Avoca however, on arrival at his camp site, police found the hut he was meant to be staying in had been burnt down.

He was reported missing on April 18.

Mr McMillan's vehicle, a green Mitsubishi Magna sedan, was located by a member of the public in the Pyrenees State Forest, at Warrenmang around 4pm on Monday.

Police and family have serious concerns for Mr McMillan's welfare as he currently suffers from a medical condition.

Anyone who sees Mr McMillian or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to call triple zero or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 immediately.

A quiet night for fire crews with only the two call-outs.

One of those was to a false alarm and the other was a very small fire connected to a fluorescent light.

Nothing to report from local paramedics.

No delays listed so far this morning for train commuters.
