MINERS guard Daniel Joyce is actively pursuing a chance to get back on a National Basketball League roster.
Joyce has stepped up talks with a couple of NBL clubs since the Ballarat Miners’ South East Australian Basketball League season finished on Sunday.
The 25-year-old returned to his New South Wales home base earlier this week.
Joyce had five years’ experience in the NBL when he arrived at the Minerdome in 2010.
He was also a member of the Australian Boomers squad in 2008.
Now, after three seasons with the Ballarat Holden Miners, Joyce is hungry to return to the elite ranks.
Miners’ import Tim Coenraad is back with his NBL club Wollongong in full pre-season training.
Miners’ point guard Shaun Bruce signed as a development player with NBL club Cairns Taipans earlier this week and has also played in a practice match against Washington State.
American import Reggie Larry flew home to Boise, Idaho this week while Cam McCallum, Kevin White and captain Ryan Barnes remain Ballarat-based.
Miners’ young gun Anthony Fisher remains training hard with his Australian squad duties.
