Ballarat breakfast report: May 17


Ballarat is looking at a top of 19 degrees today and partly cloudy. Winds north to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h.


Local police had nothing of interest to report.


Paramedics were called to Jasmine Drive, Delacombe at 12:45am where petrol had been thrown onto a fire.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with significant burns to his arm, face and airways.

He was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in the early hours of the morning.


Fire crews attended a car crash just after 11pm last night on Skipton Street, near the intersection with Dawson Street South. 

A child was freed after being locked in a car just before 10pm on Lonsdale Street, Redan. One fire unit attended.
