The local sections of the annual event, which celebrates all things beer, wrapped up on Saturday with Ballarat's own Red Duck Brewery attracting punters from far and wide for the second of its day-long tasting events.
Portland beer tasting group, the Portland Bier Schmeckers, were there to sample the more than 70 beers.
"We've been to a lot of the Good Beer Week events over the last few years and thought it was time to try Red Duck," said the group's president David Johnson.
"We call it a class and culture exhibition," he said with a laugh.
Now in its fourth year, the state-wide Good Beer Week has cemented itself in regional areas, as well as Melbourne.
Another event at The Mallow hotel during the week saw local wine-maker John Harris battle it out against Bendigo based beer expert Trev Birks in a 'beer versus wine' dinner.
About 40 people attended the event which saw people vote for what matched the food best, beer or wine.
Unfortunately, the winner was wine.
Red Duck Brewery owner and brewer Scott Wilson-Browne said Good Beer Week had once again shone the spotlight on the amber ale.
"It's been another great week and we'll be back with something a little different next year," he said.
