POLICE

Ballarat police had a low key night with no major issues.

Elsewhere in the state, police on a routine vehicle intercept disrupted a pair of alleged burglars in Richmond this morning. Richmond police stopped a Ford falcon sedan on Hoddle Street around 4.30am. A search of the car revealed a large screen TV in the back seat, along with a significant amount of cash in $50 notes in the glove box.

 A 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were arrested are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

It was a quiet night for paramedics with no trauma cases to report.

Apart from a few false alarms, it was an uneventful night for Ballarat's fire fighters.
