Why doesn't Ms Gillard and her Labor Party just say Australia is broke? Why doesn't she say that she and her party have squandered the lot and then some? Why didn't she say the easiest way of raising extra money would be to raise the GST by a couple of per cent? No one would be happy. Most of us are not happy with the carbon tax either. But at least we would know what we are being charged in taxes.
I have just received our first power bill with the carbon tax amount showing the GST charge on top of the carbon tax. How many times can she double dip? How much is this new tax actually costing us? How much tax can one person extract from the average person? Don't forget to multiply by three tiers of government, local, state and federal. They are all as bad as one another. Ms Gillard has no idea how to stretch her dollars ... oh, I forgot, it is the taxpayer that is providing for her.
The stretch is all but gone from my purse strings, it cannot stretch any further!
