Tosh splashes colour around Ballarat

EMERGING visual artist Casey Tosh is doing his bit for Ballarat's public arts landscape, taking part in a recent painting of signal boxes around the central business district.

Along with students Milly, Tim and Beau from the Ballarat Specialiist School, Tosh added a colourful flair to the formerly plain signal box at the corner of Mair and Lydiard streets.

"For Ballarat's latest revamp of colour, signal boxes are popping up all over town painted by artists and local community groups," Tosh said.

"I worked with the students from Ballarat Specialist School for this recent project, painting the box after a few days of work."

Along with the restoration of the historic railway signal boxes around the Ballarat Railway Station, the creative community arts enterprise projects are adding colour to the streetscape for visitors and locals to enjoy.
